For years I held close to "little David." That childhood part of me. Well into my twenties and thirties I could still hear his younger voice talking to me, guiding me and advising me.

Then one day his voice was gone. I don't know when it happened. I hadn't realized that I could no longer hear him. He was just gone! Finding him was not easy and listening to him was harder. But having him back in my life. Has brought nothing but joy!

I can listen to this song all day! Chicago celebrated for its big horn sound and arrangements. Little David loved this song. He was too young to fully understand all that it was about musically and the message of the song, but he'd listen close to it and study it.

"Does anybody really know what time it is," is rich in rhythm, in melody and is a big wall of sound! And with all that. It asks one simple question. Does anybody really know what's going on?

No other song mistified little David like this one. When this song played. I felt like I was on a magic carpet ride flying in the sky! The strings, the songs pumping beat and the full harmonic vocals. All of that created the perfect foundation for Marylin McCoo's swirling voice delivering the song's message.
